Alyce + George

Alyce and George became special people in my journey here in Australia. After meeting them during a campaign photographed with my friend Chris Cincotta (@melbourneiloveyou) to Visit Melbourne (@visitmelbourne), they quickly became friends and this partnership has yielded fruits very fast and also the opportunity of photographing their wedding. The second vlog of Juliana and I, was recorded during a trip we did with Dehlila, one of their Kombis (I will release this episode soon). It was a very cool experience, the wedding was held in their house, in the courtyard where his two children play among the various vans they rent out for events and travel within Australia. It was a cold Friday, rainy day, but the sun came up to reward us with a beautiful light for portraits at early evening. I feel so honoured of being part of this project, it has been a long time that I don’t shoot a wedding like this, so full of emotion and authenticity. I could tell a lot of details that marked me during the course of that day, but I’m not so good with words and images speak for themselves most of the time… Although, I can’t not leave in blank one detail that caught my attention, and in seven years I’ve never saw a groom take off his shoes at the time of the ceremony because he needed to feel the energy of the place. He said that the moment was special and it would make more sense to be free and connected than follow a protocol! Anyway, thanks again for the opportunity to be part of your story.
